Delilah is a fun-loving, goofy, and incredibly sweet 2-year-old girl who’s ready to find her perfect match! She’s the ultimate Velcro dog—once she knows you’re her person, she’ll stick by your side through thick and thin. Whether she’s playing fetch, trotting along on a walk, or curling up for snuggles, she’s happiest when she’s with her people.

This girl is bursting with energy and enthusiasm for life! She thrives on activity and would love a home that can keep up with her playful spirit. Right now, she enjoys long daily walks (about three miles!), plus a midday game of fetch, which she takes very seriously. A fenced-in yard would be a dream come true for her zoomies and playtime.

Delilah is smart as a whip—she already knows sit, down, come, and shake/paw, and she’s eager to keep learning! She’s crate-trained and sleeps peacefully through the night. She’s also house-trained, though she sometimes gets so excited to see her favorite people that she has a little happy accident (oops!).

She’s still building her confidence around other dogs and the world around her. Loud noises can startle her, and she’s still learning that bikes, new dogs, and some strangers aren’t as scary as they seem. With the right guidance and a patient home, she’ll continue to grow into a more confident pup. Because of her big personality and prey drive, she’d do best as the only pet in the home, soaking up all the love and attention for herself.

One of Delilah’s biggest joys in life? TOYS! She carries her Chuck-it ball around like a prized possession, loves a good rope toy (with supervision), and is always happy to have something to chew on. As much as she loves to play, she’s also discovering how wonderful snuggle time can be. She’s gone from independent to affectionate in just a short time, and we know she’ll only continue blossoming in the right home.

A Special Note About Delilah’s Care

Delilah does have some joint abnormalities in her back legs that will require physical therapy and possibly surgery to keep her comfortable long-term. But don’t tell her that—she doesn’t let it slow her down one bit! She’s always ready for her next adventure and lives life to the fullest.

Delilah is looking for an experienced, patient adopter who will give her the structure, love, and time she needs to shine. If you’re ready for an adventure buddy, a snuggle bug, and a pup who will adore you with her whole heart, Delilah just might be your perfect match!
