Dolly is a calm, affectionate, and petite Doberman weighing about 55 lbs, making her an excellent fit for most households. She thrives on love and companionship, often following other dogs around the house and doing exceptionally well meeting new people. She’s a low-energy girl who enjoys a couple of short walks daily but is just as content lounging, especially in a sunny spot.
House-trained and crate-trained, Dolly settles quickly with a treat and loves her naps. She’s happiest sleeping in a dog bed in her foster’s room but adapts well to different routines. Dolly gets along well with big dogs and is curious about cats, showing no aggression as long as introductions are gradual. While she hasn’t interacted much with children, older kids who understand boundaries might be a good match.
On a leash, Dolly is excellent, rarely pulling, and she’s quickly mastering basic commands like sit, stay, and come. She loves her Nylabone and the occasional piece of American cheese. Though initially a little overexcited when meeting people, she’s learning to keep her paws on the ground.
Dolly enjoys mental stimulation and would thrive in a home with someone who can spend time with her during the day. While adaptable to various environments, she prefers a quieter home to avoid becoming overstimulated. Dolly is recovering well from a mild skin reaction to fleas and mites, and her overall health is great.
This smart, friendly girl is ready to bring her blend of snuggles, curiosity, and a sunny disposition to her forever home!
